TOM HOLLAND – PASTEL PORTRAIT

Brief:
Create a pastel portrait of Tom Holland.

Concept:
I love the Spiderman Movies and wanted to create this portrait in honor of the actor who brings him to live in the Marvel Universe. For this piece, I used a photo that had a dark background to brighten the facial features. As always, I started with a pencil outline and worked my way up with the skin just layering on the pastel. I finished with the hair to be sure to get the swooshes just right. I used paint brushes to blend in the chalk colors with one another to bring in a more painterly look.
