NIALL AND LIAM – PENCIL DRAWING
Brief:
Create a pencil portrait of Niall Horan and Liam Payne together.
Concept:
This is a piece a drew a couple years ago that I still love. I challenged myself by having two faces to work with instead of just one subject. I loved being able to draw two different people with different expressions in the same drawing. The contrast between them adds some humor to the drawing. Niall with his fair skin and hair, while Liam has the darker hair made it interesting to have in the same piece. I had to switch up my style while still being cohesive to one drawing. I spent a lot of time on the facial expressions in this one because of the funny way they are looking at the audience. Liam is looking surprised while Niall looks confused; this drawing was an exercise in the art of capturing the face and the many ways it can be expressed.
