JENNA COLEMAN – PENCIL PORTRAIT

Brief:
Create a pencil portrait of Jenna Coleman.

Concept:
I love the Audrey Hepburn themed photo that Jenna Coleman took in a photoshoot a couple years back. She has just the same look that many people mistook this drawing to be of Hepburn herself, but in fact is is Jenna Coleman. I started with an out line of the major areas and then slowly filled in the shading to create a depth in the drawing. I love the high contrast of this drawing and wanted to showcase that by using the darkest pencil possible for her hair and clothes while making sure the background was completely white. Any stray marks that got on the page were erased when I was done with the portrait because I wanted to make sure the background stayed pristine. Eyes are my favorite part to draw because there is so much life in them. I made sure to add a lot of detail to her big eyes to bring this drawing to life.

Materials:
Drawing Pencils (H1-B6)
Paper
